On September 19, the Zhytomyr City Council unanimously supported the early termination of the powers of Mayor Serhii Sukhomlin. Sources say he plans to head the State Recovery Agency.

Details: The decision was taken on the initiative of the mayor himself, and he thanked his colleagues for it.
Earlier, Sukhomlin called an extraordinary session of the city council on September 19 to vote, among other things, on his resignation.
According to the UP, the Cabinet of Ministers is going to appoint Sukhomlin to the position of the head of the State Agency for Reconstruction instead of Mustafa Nayem.
What preceded: At the beginning of June, the head of the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure, Mustafa Nayem, wrote a resignation letter.
