A marine named Serhiy says that “Stugna” is effective because it can be operated remotely – at a distance of about fifty meters from the installation itself. At the same time, the fighters who control it are in a protected room – an equipped dugout. This is what distinguishes “Stugna” from certain Soviet installations, such as “Kornet” and “Metis”, the features of which involve the presence of fighters next to them.
“Secondly, the Stugna has a 150-caliber rifle that penetrates tanks, anti-tank guns, and light armored vehicles very well,” Serhiy said.
He says that he served, including in the Donbass, and now in another direction, has successful hits on enemy tanks and BMPs. According to the marine, enemy targets have changed – they have become more protected. In particular, the occupiers weld metal nets on the equipment and pour concrete over the “front” of the same tanks.
“This makes it difficult to break through, but it is possible to strike…” – states the soldier.
According to Marine Dmytro, the fighters first go out to “search” for a favorable position, set up a shelter, set up a “Stugna” and begin surveillance.
“The most difficult thing is to make a good dugout. Because immediately after the shots are fired, the enemy strikes back. You need to dig in faster – the faster, the safer,” says Dmytro.
The third infantryman Oleksandr said that working with “Stugna” requires a certain physical training, because the rockets and the installation itself are heavy. Oleksandr’s first successful shot was at the enemy tank “Tiger”. “Emotions were over the edge, I wanted to destroy the occupiers more and more,” the marine shared his memories.
