According to preliminary data, the number of killed and wounded North Korean soldiers in the Kursk region already exceeds 3 thousand people. This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyi on Monday, December 23, after Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi’s report on the situation in the Kursk region.

Zelensky noted that there are risks of sending additional units and military equipment for the Russian army from North Korea. He emphasized that Ukraine’s actions in response to this “will be tangible.”

It is important for the world to understand that the risk of destabilization around the Korean Peninsula and in neighboring regions and waters increases in proportion to the growth of cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang. The transfer of experience of modern warfare and the spread of military technology from Russia is a global threat,” the head of state said.

Zelensky noted that for the world, the price of restoring stability is always much higher than effective pressure on those who destabilize the situation and destroy life.

On December 23, Yonhap News Agency, with reference to South Korea’s intelligence agency, reported that North Korea is probably preparing to transfer additional troops and weapons, including kamikaze drones, to Russia for Russia’s war against Ukraine.

The main thing is the losses of the North Korean army in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation

On December 14, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that the North Korean troops, which Russia began using in assaults in Kurshchyna in November 2024, had already suffered their first losses as a result of successful attacks by the Defense Forces.
