44-year-old Australian former tennis player Lleyton Hewitt returned to the professional level to play in the same pair with his 16-year-old son Cruise.

Lleyton and Cruz entered the challenger in Sydney and managed to overcome the first round, defeating the Australian tandem of Hayden Jones / Pavle Marinkov.

The Hewitts gave their opponents only one game and finished the match in 48 minutes. Lleyton and Cruz failed to make it to the semi-finals – in the quarter-finals they were knocked out by the duet of Calum Pattergill / Dane Sweeney.
