The legend of the world hockey Dominic Hashek reported that he had sent letters to the International Olympic Committee and the International Federation of Hockey that former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev threatened him with murder.

The former Czech hockey player wrote about it on the social network “X”.

I sent 2 official letters today. One to the IOC. President and members of the executive council. And the other – to the IIHF (International Hockey Federation with washer).

I tell them that the former President of Russia Medvedev threatened me to kill me. In addition, I, among other things, note how important their decisions will be in the coming months, and again I suggest help in creating rules so that sports competitions are not advertising of the Russian War and because of them do not die.

I consider both letters to be very important not only for IOC and IIHF, but for all sports and non -sports community. That is why I will publish them in a few days, “Hashek wrote.

Dominic, with the beginning of a full -scale invasion, condemns the actions of the Russian authorities, as well as star Russian hockey players who do not condemn the war.

In particular, he reproached the NHL, the United States and Canada that they allowed Alexander Ovechkin to become a record holder of the League for abandoned pucks.

When Ovechkin became a record holder, Dmitry Medvedev wrote on social networks that he was waiting for Hashek’s suicide.

Dominic’s career is unique and full of different victories. At the age of 16, he made his debut for Pardubice in the strongest division of Czechoslovakia. In 1983 he played two matches at the World Cup, and his country became a silver medalist. Then he won bronze three times (1987, 1989, 1990). In the world championship 1987 and 1989 he was recognized as the best goalkeeper of the tournament.

As he continued to play the NHL clubs that took place to the Playoff, almost always missed the World Cup, but together with the national team he became the champion of the Olympic Games 1998, and at the 2006 games won bronze.

He advocated Chicago, Baffalo and Detroit. In total, 735 matches played for the NHL clubs. Six times he took away Vesina Trophi, which is presented with the best goalkeeper of the regular championship.
