Ukrainian law enforcement agencies informed Lviv blogger Ostap Stakhiv about the suspicion.

“He is accused of disseminating information about the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and fraud (part 2 of article 114-2, part 1, 2 of article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),” – according to information released on September 25 by the Office of the Prosecutor General.

The reports do not mention Stakhiva’s last name, but the Security Service of Ukraine indicated that “a few months before the start of a full-scale war, the person involved incited people to organize mass riots and seize state institutions under the guise of the “anti-vaccination movement”, which directly points to this man.

“During one of his live broadcasts on social networks, the person involved publicly announced the exact location of one of the units of the Ukrainian defenders, thus exposing them to danger. In addition, he organized online “journalism” courses, where, among other things, he taught his followers to counter the mobilization in Ukraine. The cost of the courses was 7 thousand hryvnias per student. After completing his studies, the person involved promised his clients an international journalist certificate. However, instead of the promised documents, he gave the “graduates” fictitious certificates of a local newspaper, which lost its accreditation in the spring of this year,” the SBU reports.

The police added that “the law enforcement officers documented several facts of the suspect’s illegal activities, and during the authorized search of his apartment and car, the police found and seized two phones, laptops, fake IDs, documents of public organizations, statements from bank accounts.”

During the COVID-19 pandemic, 39-year-old Ostap Stakhiv was one of the leaders of the so-called “anti-vaccination” movement. In November 2021, the Security Service of Ukraine announced that Stakhiv was suspected of overthrowing the state system, and he underwent a psychiatric examination.
