The Kyiv City Council allocated 3 billion to “Spetszhitlofondu” for the purchase of apartments

On November 21, the Kyiv City Council allocated UAH 3 billion to increase the statutory fund of KP “Spetszhitlofond”.

This decision was supported by 70 deputies, writes LIGA.net.

The money will be used for the purchase of 1,008 apartments to replenish the maneuvering fund of the KMDA.

According to the calculations of the director of the enterprise, Volodymyr Shary, 188 apartments are needed for residents of dilapidated buildings, 310 apartments for citizens affected by emergency situations, 510 apartments for residents of outdated housing stock (Khrushchevki, Stalinka, barracks) for the period of renovation.

Currently, the maneuvering fund of the KMDA consists of four buildings with 315 apartments.

Such housing is not subject to privatization.

Deputies tasked the Special Housing Fund to create a supervisory board within six months to monitor the use of this money.
