The Kremlin has denied that Russian leader Vladimir Putin and US President-elect Donald Trump had a phone conversation after the Republican won the November 5 election.

“There was no conversation. This is the most vivid example of the quality of information that is now published sometimes even in fairly respected publications. This is not true. This is pure fiction, this is just false information,” said the spokesman of the Russian President Dmytro Peskov at a briefing on November 11 (quoted by the Russian Interfax agency).

On Sunday, November 10, The Washington Post, citing sources, reported that Putin and Trump spoke by phone on November 7, including discussing the Russian-Ukrainian war.
