Details: Citing an Israeli official, CNN notes that the agreement is aimed at a 60-day cessation of hostilities with Hezbollah. The deal will come into force on November 27 at 10 am.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he was ready to implement the ceasefire agreement, adding that he would “respond firmly to any violations” by Hezbollah.
Netanyahu’s direct speech: “We will abide by the agreements and respond harshly to any violations. Together we will continue to victory. In full coordination with the United States, we maintain full military freedom of action. If Hezbollah violates the agreement or tries to rearm, we will strike decisively.” .
Details: He said there were three reasons to push for a cease-fire: to focus on the threat from Iran, to replenish depleted weapons stocks and to give the army a rest.
