Representatives of the star published a special statement on the Fondation Brigitte Bardot’s Instagram account, which condemns the “false information” that has spread in the media and social networks in recent days:
“In response to the spread of misinformation in recent days, Brigitte Bardot reminds everyone that she is now recovering. She would be grateful for respect for her privacy and urges everyone to remain calm. Madame Bardot wants to reassure those who are genuinely worried about her. She sends them this message: “I send you all my love!”.
As French media reported, the 91-year-old actress is now recovering after being hospitalized at the end of November. She was taken to a clinic in Toulon after a “minor surgery” that she underwent back in October. Earlier, the actress sharply reacted to rumors of her own death.
