“On November 25, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will hold a series of bilateral negotiations with his Italian colleague Antonio Tajani, the head of EU diplomacy Josep Borrell, and the ministers of foreign affairs of the countries of the Global South,” the message reads.
On November 26, Sybiga is scheduled to participate in a special session of the “Group of Seven” ministerial meeting dedicated to Ukraine, as well as a series of bilateral talks with the US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, the Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France Jean-Noel Barrot, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada Melanie Jolie, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Germany’s Annalena Burbok, the ministry added.
“The key topic of the negotiations will be the strengthening of support for Ukraine against the background of the recent aggressive steps of the Russian Federation, in particular the involvement of North Korean troops in the aggression, the shelling of Ukraine with a medium-range ballistic missile, air terror against civilians, critical infrastructure and the power system,” the message says.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that it will be about “important steps taken by allies” to increase military support for Ukraine, increase sanctions pressure on Russia, implement the “victory plan” announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, and “advance on the path to a comprehensive, just and sustainable peace based on the formula of peace and the UN Charter”.
The day before, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine stated that Ukraine’s partners “must respond to Russian blackmail by transferring to the country air defense systems capable of shooting down medium-range ballistic missiles of the Oreshnik type, the use of which he called “typical blackmail.”
Also, on November 26, an extraordinary meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council at the level of ambassadors will be held in Brussels regarding Russia’s use of an experimental medium-range ballistic missile for shelling the Dnipro.
Information about this meeting appeared after Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on the evening of November 21 about the “successful test in combat conditions” of the newest medium-range Oreshnik missile. According to him, the forces of the Russian Federation struck the Dnieper with this ballistic missile with non-nuclear hypersonic equipment.
Putin said that this was “a response to the aggressive actions of NATO countries towards Russia” – the permission of Ukraine to strike with Western missiles on the territory of the Russian Federation and such strikes in the Bryansk and Kursk regions. He also did not rule out new such strikes.
