As of January 1, 2026, Ukraine will transfer salaries to family doctors – the government plans to change the accrual system to increase the amount of patient health care.
According to the Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko, the main change concerns the “capital rate”, that is, the amount paid by the state to the doctor for conducting one patient.
It is now 786 UAH of 65 cents – and it is expected to increase.
The salary of family doctors will now depend not only on state standards, but also on the management of medical institutions and the actual number of patients.
Viktor Lyashko emphasizes: “The main priority is quality services for the patient.” It is these criteria that will focus a new model of remuneration.
We will remind, the Ministry of Health will detect family doctors who have fled abroad and receive salaries.
