According to him, consumers who use electric heating installations will from now on pay the full tariff only for those volumes of electricity that exceed the limit of 2,000 kWh. For the rest of the consumed electricity, they will pay according to the tariff of UAH 2.64.
“During the heating season, the state ensured that the electricity tariff for the population remained unchanged at UAH 4.32 per kWh.
There is also a preferential tariff – UAH 2.64 – for people who use electric heating installations. Until today, it concerned those who consume up to 2 thousand kWh of electricity per month. However, there are many people who consume more than this limit and were forced to pay the full tariff,” Shmyhal wrote in Telegram.
According to him, in order to correct this, a resolution was passed on the differentiation of the preferential tariff at the expense of the PSO mechanism (public special duties).

Prior to the adoption of this decision, during the heating period (from October 1, 2024 to April 30, 2025), a preferential tariff was provided for consumers using electric heating installations: when consuming up to 2,000 kWh – UAH 2.64/kWh for the entire volume , when consuming more than 2,000 kWh – 4.32 UAH/kWh for the entire volume.
The electricity tariff for the population from June 1, 2024 to April 30, 2025 is UAH 4.32/kWh.
