The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a number of documents on determining the length of service in the territory of the USSR republics by 1992 for the appointment of pensions.
About it reports in Telegram a representative of government in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk.
According to him, it was approved:
- The procedure for confirmation of non -realization by another state of pension payments to persons living in Ukraine for periods of employment until January 1, 1992 outside Ukraine in the republics of the former USSR to enroll them in insurance experience;
- The procedure for confirmation and enrollment of periods of work of a person in another state to insurance experience (work experience) to determine the right to appoint a pension by age.
According to the results of the meeting of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, they were instructed to review the decisions made from 2024 regarding persons who worked until January 1, 1992.
It should be recalled that in 2024 the law was approved, which defines the basic conditions for calculating pensions for periods of work abroad, in particular, and in connection with the withdrawal of Ukraine from the Agreement between the CIS Member States on the guarantees of the rights of citizens of these countries on pension provision.
Pursuant to Article 6 of the Agreement to the citizens of Ukraine, periods of work in the territory of the countries – participants of the agreement (namely, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Russian Federation) were taken into account.
According to the new law:
- Periods of employment by January 1, 1992 outside Ukraine in the republics of the former USSR Union are credited to insurance experience, including on preferential terms, persons living in Ukraine, subject to the failure to other state of pension payments to such persons for these periods
- Periods of employment outside Ukraine are not enrolled in insurance experience, unless otherwise provided by international treaties of Ukraine.
Recall that the average salary in March, from which insurance premiums were paid and which is taken into account for the calculation of the pension, increased to 19 430 UAH from 18 589 UAH in February.
On March 25, the Cabinet of Ministers at the meeting indexed pension payments. Pensions increased by 11.5% for more than 10 million Ukrainians.
