The Cabinet has strengthened financial support for medical institutions operating in active hostilities. This will allow hospitals to receive additional funding, which should be aimed solely to raise salaries for medical professionals.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved changes by introducing a new package to the medical guarantee program: “Ensuring the preservation of personnel potential for providing medical assistance to the population in the territories of active hostilities.”
From now on, the frontline health facilities will receive additional funds to increase the payroll fund:
- For each working doctor – an additional 12 thousand UAH on a monthly basis.
- For nurses, secondary and junior health workers – an additional 9 thousand UAH monthly.
Health Minister Viktor Lyashko noted that for the Nikopol City Hospital # 4, it will mean more than UAH 6 million of additional funding on a monthly basis.
Increased level of remuneration
Thanks to the new mechanism, the estimated level of remuneration in the areas of active fighting will increase to the following indicators:
The minister stressed that this will help motivate healthcare professionals to stay with patients even in the most difficult conditions.
Increasing primary support and investment
Primary care support is also increased:
- For medical institutions in active hostilities, a corrective factor of 1.2 for each declared patient will be used.
- This rule now extends to all settlements, including frontier cities, such as Nikopol, Manganese, Kherson.
Separately, Viktor Lyashko visited Kryvyi Rih, where he got acquainted with the reconstruction of the city clinical hospital №2 worth 520 million UAH. This project is part of 166 investment projects in the field of health care, planned for 2025 for more than UAH 32 billion.
The Government of Ukraine also made a decision to increase the monthly surcharge for teachers who continue to teach children in frontline communities. This surcharge will now be 4000 hryvnias after payment taxes .
Earlier the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine withPraised the distribution of 6.2 billion hryvnias of subsidies from the state budget to local budgets for teachers’ surcharges.
