Shmigal told about changes in the system of payments for IDP / photo UNIAN, Kateryna ZhiriThe government has approved a new procedure for compensation for the cost of utilities to facilities where IDP families are placed. Prime Minister Denis Shmigal announced this during a government meeting.
“We make the procedure more efficient. We transfer the function of payments to the Pension Fund. Payments will be made directly to the establishments where internally displaced persons, not the authorities, whose balance is located, these institutions are on the balance sheet,” he said.
According to Shmigal, the digitalization of the process will avoid abuse, and the calculations will now be every month and not with a delay in the quarter.
“This way, the government helps those who support families of forced displaced persons,” the prime minister added.
Utilities in Ukraine are the main newsEarlier, UNIAN wrote how the subsidy is accrued after the end of the heating season. In particular, from May 1, the PFU authorities will determine which citizens of Ukraine will be able to make a discount for payment of water, light, gas and heating for the next heating season.
The members of the UBD family and the military themselves, as well as the participants in the Dignity Revolution, can receive a significant discount on gas and heating, and under some conditions, utilities for such persons may even be free of charge.
