The government has allowed regions to introduce flexible curfew rules, and the first such decision is expected in Kyiv.
This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction, the Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba.
According to him, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted changes to the relevant resolution, which enable regions to adjust restrictions for the period of an emergency in the energy sector.
“The government has adopted amendments to the decree that allow regions to introduce flexible curfew rules for the period of an energy emergency. In the near future, we expect the first such decision at the community level – for the city of Kyiv,” Kuleba wrote.
The minister explained the mechanism of the new curfew.
During the energy emergency, it will be possible to reach the Points of Unbreakability 24/7. Passes are not required for this.
The movement of private vehicles is allowed, if a person is going directly to the Point of Invincibility. The operation of public transport is based on the decision of the local authorities, taking into account the security situation.
Nezlamnosti points can be shops, pharmacies, gas stations, service establishments and shopping and entertainment centers, provided that there is autonomous power supply, heating, stable communication, extension cords and free hot tea.
A business that officially functions as an Unbreakable Point will be allowed to operate 24/7.
Separately, Kuleba emphasized that all decisions will be made centrally.
“All decisions are made exclusively through the Defense Council of the city of Kyiv, with the participation of the security forces. There will be no arbitrary decisions on the ground,” he stressed.
We will remind, the government of Ukraine introduced strategic relaxation of the curfew regime for regions where a power emergency has been officially declared.
