For small businesses, the maintenance of POS terminals creates additional financial pressure.
The postponement gives the business time to prepare for the transition to cashless payments / photo ua.depositphotos.comThe Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine postponed the mandatory use of payment terminals for the 1st group of FOP – until the end of martial law and for another three months after its cancellation. As Prime Minister Yulia Svyridenko reported, the decision was made in response to the appeal of small businesses, for whom the maintenance of POS terminals today creates additional financial pressure.
“This will give the smallest entrepreneurs the opportunity to work and save income in the conditions of war, power outages and logistical restrictions,” the head of the government said.
According to her, the postponement also gives businesses time to prepare for the transition to cashless payments and choose a convenient payment method in the future: POS terminals, mobile applications or QR codes.
Innovations for entrepreneurs – other newsAmong the conditions for approving a loan for Ukraine, the International Monetary Fund named the introduction of taxation of income from digital platforms (the so-called “OLX tax”) and the cancellation of VAT registration benefits for individual entrepreneurs (PPOs).
There will be changes in the simplified taxation system for FOPs regarding the payment of VAT when a certain limit is exceeded. Their implementation is expected in 2027, said Minister of Finance Serhiy Marchenko.
