The General Staff reported about half a hundred clashes in the Pokrovsky direction per day

On the front during the past 24 hours, 126 combat clashes took place, the largest number of battles were in the Pokrovsky direction, the Ukrainian General Staff reported in the morning briefing on October 23.

“In the Pokrovsky direction, 50 combat clashes took place in the areas of the settlements of Volodymyrivka, Myrnograd, Novoekonomichnye, Chervyn Liman, Nikanorivka, Rodynske, Promin, Lysivka, Novopavlivka, Pokrovsk, Kotlyna, Udachne, Molodetske, Zvirove, Dachne, Filia and in the direction of Hryshiny,” the message reads.

In addition, according to the command of the Armed Forces, combat operations continued in the North-Slobozhansk, Kursk, South-Slobozhansk, Kupyansk, Lymansk, Slovyansk, Kostiantynovsky, Oleksandrivsk, Gulyaipil, Orihiv, Prydniprovsk directions.

“The enemy struck the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements with one missile strike using 29 missiles, 95 airstrikes, dropping 176 guided bombs. In addition, it carried out 4,847 attacks, of which 106 were from rocket salvo fire systems, and engaged 6,530 kamikaze drones for destruction,” the summary states.

Earlier, the General Staff reported that Ukrainian forces liberated 182.8 square kilometers on the territory of the Pokrovsky district of the Donetsk region, and another 230.1 square kilometers were cleared from the enemy’s DGR.

British intelligence has recently reiterated that Pokrovsk is likely to remain a priority for Russia, with the largest share of Russian attacks there compared to the rest of the front line.

On October 1, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, said that the Ukrainian military had cut off the so-called “Dobropilsky Protrusion” of Russian troops.
