The situation in Gulyaipol, Zaporizhzhia region, is difficult, but the defensive operation in the settlement continues. Ukrainian soldiers continue active actions to destroy infantry groups of invaders in the city.
The operational situation in Myrnograd also remains difficult, but the enemy units, as before, are unable to implement their plans to capture the Pokrovsk-Myrnograd agglomeration, so disinformation weapons are being used.”
Details: The General Staff emphasized that the control over half of the city of Kostyantynivka, in Donetsk region, is a fiction.
“The defense forces of Ukraine are holding defensive lines and destroying the enemy on the approaches to the settlement. So, on December 26, the occupiers attempted an assault and advanced in a column in the direction of Kostyantynivka. As a result of the successful actions of the Ukrainian defenders, two enemy tanks with demining equipment were destroyed, and enemy infantry were eliminated by our UAVs,” the message says.
The General Staff recalled that previously the Russians had repeatedly spread false statements about the alleged capture of Kupyansk and Pokrovsk.
Literally: “It is obvious that the lies of the Russians are primarily aimed at foreign partners and significantly intensified during the peace negotiations. However, Russian disinformation will not affect the Ukrainian position and further diplomatic work.”
What preceded: On December 27, on the eve of the meeting between the presidents of Ukraine and the United States regarding the “peace plan”, Russian President Volodymyr Putin said that, taking into account the pace of the occupiers’ offensive, the Russian Federation’s interest in the withdrawal of the Armed Forces from the “territories occupied by them” is allegedly “reduced to zero”. The propagandists said that Putin was informed about the Russian occupation of Myrnograd and Gulyaipol, as well as several other settlements.
