Currently, there are 27 battles going on in the Kharkiv direction (near Tikhoi), Kupianske (near Sinkivka), Lymanske, Kramatorske (near Hryhorivka, Chasovoy Yar and Klishchiivka), Toretske (near Shcherbinivka and Nelipivka), Pokrovsk, Kurakhivka, and Vremivka.

On September 22-23, the DeepState project reported on a number of successes of the Russian army in Donbas – the aggressor advanced deep into Toretsk, near New York to the southeast of Toretsk, near Tsukuriny southeast of Selidovy, as well as near Vodyanyi, Prechistivka and Ugledar.
In a report released on September 24, the US-based Institute for the Study of War (ISW) said that Russian forces had reached the outskirts of Vugledar in Donetsk region during an intensified offensive near the settlement, but that its possible capture was unlikely to give Russian forces any particular operational advantage for further offensive operations in the western part of Donetsk region.
