The publication added that Berb would join a new position since September 9, shortly before the annual meeting of the General Assembly. The term of its office as the chairman will be one year.
Journalists emphasized that Berbok became the fifth in the history of a woman who had ever held this position since the founding of the UN almost 80 years ago.
