Details: We are talking about 54-year-old Oleksandr Fedorov.

After the capture of the regional center, the archimandrite went to cooperate with the occupiers and the local Gauleiter Volodymyr Saldo.

As the investigation established, the cleric regularly invited him to the church for pro-Kremlin speeches to the faithful.

Also, during the services, the churchman blessed the pseudo-referendum of the Russian Federation regarding the “accession” of the Kherson Region to Russia.

In addition, the cleric personally appealed to the Moscow Patriarch Kirill with a request to include the local cathedral in the parish of the Russian Orthodox Church.

For supporting Putin’s regime, the traitor was handed real estate seized in the center of Kherson and invited to the Kremlin to participate in the so-called “ceremony of incorporation” of temporarily occupied regions of Ukraine into the Russian Federation.

During the liberation of the regional center, the cleric fled with the Russian invaders, first to the left bank of the region, and then to the Crimea.

Based on the evidence base of the Security Service, the court found the intruder guilty under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

h 2 Art. 111 (treason committed under martial law);

h 1 Art. 111-2 (assistance to the aggressor state).

He was sentenced in absentia to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of all his property. He is also deprived of the right to hold positions in state and local self-government bodies for a period of 15 years.

Since December 2022, the cleric has been under the sanctions of the National Security Council. His apartment in the Pechersk district of Kyiv, a residential building in the Kherson region, as well as a vehicle were seized, the prosecutor’s office notes.
