Details: Vadeful arrived in Lviv, where on May 9 there will be an informal meeting of foreign ministers of EU countries. On the evening of May 8, he published a short video in his X that he came to Ukraine.

In comments to reporters, the Minister assured that Germany will continue to stay among the countries that support Ukraine most and “clearly show it in the coming days.”
German Foreign Minister noted that he would ask what the current needs of Ukraine are.
“We will continue to do what is needed and we will do it as much as Russia understands that this war should end, that they need to sit at the negotiation table and that (…) we need to follow the ceasefire,” Vadeful said.
The new German Chancellor Friedrich Merz also said he was planning to visit Ukraine in the near future.
