On Monday morning, December 16, the Russian military dropped explosives from a drone on a store in the city of Berislav, Kherson region, according to a statement from the regional prosecutor’s office.

“According to the investigation, on December 16, around 10:00 a.m., servicemen of the Russian army dropped explosives from an unmanned aerial vehicle on a shop in Berislav, Kherson region,” the agency said.

It is reported that a 53-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries as a result of the attack. It is known that a pre-trial investigation has been started in criminal proceedings on the fact of a war crime that caused the death of a person.

“Prosecutors are taking all necessary measures to document war crimes committed by representatives of the armed forces of the Russian Federation,” the message says.

Before that, at 08:30 in Antonivka, Russian forces attacked an elderly man from a drone – “due to the dropping of explosives from an unmanned aerial vehicle, an 81-year-old local resident received an explosive injury, shrapnel injuries to his leg and foot,” OVA said.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
