38-year-old Uruguayan tennis player Pablo Cuevas announced the end of his career.

“This journey began with the dream of an innocent child who wanted to become a tennis player. From kayaking down the Uruguay River to Philippe Chatrier Stadium, so many vivid experiences… reality surpassed dreams.

Tennis was not just a sport, it was my passion, my daily motivation and the reason I woke up every morning wanting to be better.

I am ending my career, but I will continue to be associated with tennis because I love it and it would be very unfair to him if I could not share everything I have learned on this unforgettable journey.” – wrote a Uruguayan.

During his career, Cuevas won six ATP singles titles and nine doubles titles. In singles, he climbed to the 19th line of the world ranking.
