Details: The investigation revealed that in the declaration for 2023, the former official declared more than 60 million US dollars, 550 thousand hryvnias in cash, as well as precious metals in ingots, with a total value of 38 million hryvnias. According to the declarant, he allegedly inherited some of these assets from his parents.
As part of the pre-trial investigation, more than 30 searches were conducted. Inspections covered residential buildings, apartments, garages, vehicles and other objects belonging to the exhibitor and his relatives. During the searches, law enforcement officers seized cash, gold commemorative coins, expensive watches, firearms and hunting weapons, awards of the Russian Federation and other valuables.
Currently, the sources of acquisition of these assets are being checked, including from relatives who hold public positions in Russia.
The collected evidence was transferred to the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP) for a full verification of the declaration. Based on the results of the inspection, the issue of notifying the exhibitor of suspicion will be resolved.
