Former world champion according to the version of the WBS in the first welterweight Victor Postol (31-5, 12 KOs) told why he is returning to the ring.

“My friend Ihor Faniyan offered me to hold a fight in the Palace of Sports. He offered me good terms and I accepted. It will be a ranking match, most likely 8 rounds.

I am glad that I will hold the fight at home because my relatives, friends, and my fans will be able to come to it. Moreover, this match will be held in the Palace of Sports.

The age of 40 years really makes itself felt. But I train every day, and I feel good. As long as I have the desire and health, I will be in boxing. As soon as the desire disappears, I will end my career.

Currently, the plan is to hold 2-3 more matches, and then it will be clear,” said Postol.

Viktor previously boxed on July 15, 2023 in the USA, when he lost to 28-year-old Dominican Elvis Rodriguez (16-1-1, 13 KOs).
