Oleksiy Oliynyk, the former head of the Khmelnytskyi Prosecutor’s Office, still works in law enforcement agencies. He was among the prosecutors who received a disability group.

This was reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office in response to a request from the Anti-Corruption Center.

The prosecutor’s office noted that Oliynyk was appointed prosecutor of the regional prosecutor’s office. He will hold the position until March 2026 while the other prosecutor is on parental leave.

The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine extended for a month the official investigation into the case of Khmelnytskyi prosecutors, who issued disability certificates. This decision is explained by the need for additional checks.

According to representatives of the Anti-Corruption Center, until the results of the investigation are received, the prosecutors, including the former head of the Khmelnytskyi Oblast Prosecutor’s Office Oleksandr Oliynyk, will continue to work in the prosecutor’s office and will receive pension payments provided for by the status of disability.

Even before his dismissal, Oliynyk claimed that he received a disability group in 2017, long before his appointment to the position. The injury, he said, was related to an incident at the workplace in 2005, when he was studying the materials of a criminal case.

Corruption in the Khmelnytskyi Center for Medical and Social Examination — what is known

On October 4, the SBI reported that it had exposed the head of MSEK and her son, the head of the pension fund’s regional administration, in Khmelnytskyi region for illegal enrichment. During the searches, they found almost $6 million in cash in various currencies and a number of forged medical documents, lists of evaders with names and false diagnoses.

During the searches, the head of MSEK Tetiana Krupa tried to get rid of two bags with 500,000 dollars and threw them out the window.

Tetyana Krupa did not include these funds in her declaration, they were currently withdrawn and transferred to a bank for safekeeping. The prosecutor also filed a motion to seize the funds.

The investigation is clarifying the reasons for the purchase by the woman’s relatives of a large number of real estate objects abroad and in Ukraine, an elite car fleet, corporate rights and accounts abroad for almost 2.3 million dollars.

The SBI will also study the so-called lists of evaders”, which were found in Tetyana Krupa’s possession. Names and diagnoses of people were listed there.

On October 5, Krupa was informed of suspicion of illegal enrichment, the woman faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of all property. On October 7, the court arrested Krupa for 60 days with the possibility of making a bail of 500 million hryvnias.

On October 20, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, announced the convening of a meeting of the National Security Council regarding the scandal in the Khmelnytskyi MSEK and the massive processing of disability documents there by prosecutors.

On October 21, the Ministry of Health announced that they canceled the conclusions on the disability of 74 conscripts, which were established by the Khmelnytskyi MSEK.
