Earlier, on May 20, the European Union agreed the 17th package of sanctions against Russia. According to the head of the foreign policy service of the Kai Callas Bloc, it is directed against “almost 200 ships of the shadow fleet”, hybrid threats from the Russian Federation and human rights violations.
Subsequently, the leader of the European Commission Ursula von der Lien announced a conversation with the President of Ukraine, stating that the block “closely coordinates” the next steps with Kiev.
“The 18th package is being prepared with further rigid sanctions. It is time to increase the pressure on Russia to reach the ceasefire, ”she said.
