We must continue to provide political support to Ukrainians. They have made tremendous progress towards membership in our Union. And if they continue these efforts, we will be ready to start negotiations on the core cluster in early 2025 and other clusters within the year
She emphasized that Ukrainians are fighting for their future in the European Union. “And they should know that their efforts are paying off. The flag of Ukraine will fly in the heart of our Union,” added the President of the European Commission.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that from January next year, Poland will preside over the European Union and will make every effort to speed up Ukraine’s accession to the EU and NATO.
