The European Development Bank and Naftogaz signed an agreement on the allocation of 127 million euros for the purchase of gas against the backdrop of Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
As Reuters reports, this grant will be part of a previously announced loan from the European Investment Bank for 300 million euros, which was agreed last month.
In addition, two additional grants are provided: 25 million euros for the modernization of drinking water and water treatment systems, as well as 50 million euros for the support of a loan for the reconstruction of social housing.
Earlier “Naftogaz” will receive in permission of the District Court of Vienna to enforce the arbitration award against Russian Federation in the amount of more than $5 billion. It is about compensation for lost Crimean assets companies .
