“At least there are at least 20 such international agreements where they have agreed not to attack anyone. We could start with that. It is important to keep the focus on the one who commits the aggression,” the EU’s chief diplomat emphasized.
She stated that in the draft of the “peace plan” published in the mass media, “those points that are beneficial to Russia” were collected.
“So, of course, if they are beneficial to Russia, then it is clear that it also comes from that side,” Kaya Kallas concluded.
Prehistory:
- On November 25, US President Donald Trump announced that he had instructed Steve Witkoff and Dan Driscoll to finalize the terms of the draft “peace agreement” with the Russian Federation and Ukraine, for which Witkoff will go to Moscow, and in the event of the final stage of its preparation, Trump will meet with Putin and Zelensky.
- According to Trump, the biggest concession from Russia is that it will agree to stop hostilities and not seize new territories.
- The US and Ukraine have different visions regarding the three points of the “peace agreement” – including the fact that Ukraine should withdraw without a fight from the unoccupied part of the Donetsk region.
