According to them, the 16th package of sanctions is designed as a “clear signal to Moscow”, it will include measures against specific sectors of the Russian economy, “which have either not been affected by sanctions at all or have not been affected enough.”

The 15th package of European sanctions against Russia was adopted on December 16. As the head of the EU’s diplomatic service Kai Kallas pointed out, it is aimed “at weakening the Russian military machine and those who make this war possible, including Chinese companies.”
