He explained that when it comes to the financial support provided by the EU to Ukraine, there are a number of systems of decisions and control mechanisms that can be applied theoretically.
“So, safety mechanisms exist. But we will see if we will come to this at all,” the European Commission spokesman said.
At the same time, he noted that the European Union was concerned about NABU and SAP.
Ambassadors of the Seven Group States, on July 21, expressed concern investigative actions of the Security Service of Ukraine on the National Anti -Corruption Bureau.
What was before: Before that, the Verkhovna Rada voted in the second reading for the Law No. 12414, according to which the National Anti -Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti -Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) become dependent on the decisions of the Prosecutor General. Currently, these are independent anti -corruption institutions.
