The Romanian President’s statement was somewhat dubious, even from the point of view of the procedures, since the decision to open negotiations is not made at the summit, and its participants also do not have the authority to announce this step without the consent of all 27 EU members.
“DECOUPLING issues of Moldova and Ukraine in negotiations on entry into the EU are not on the agenda,” – one of the officials of the European Council on the conditions of anonymity confirmed “Euro True”.
As she learned “European truth” from numerous interlocutors in Brussels, Brussels is now making every effort to show that the issue of separation of Ukraine and Moldova’s accession is not on time.
“It is also emphasized in the documents: the texts of the conclusions about Moldova and Ukraine on the EU enlargement are true,” the article reads.
At the same time, if the point for Ukraine did not find a consensus at the EU summit because it was not supported by Hungary, then the Moldova accession was supported by all 27 EU countries, the authors pay attention.
