Details: The EU and the United States have finally agreed on a joint statement about the trade agreement concluded in July.

The text also emphasizes that the US and the EU “view this framework agreement as the first step in the process, which may eventually be expanded to reach additional areas.

According to the Agreement, the EU intends to abolish tariffs for all industrial goods from the United States and provide preferential access to the market for a wide range of seafood and agricultural goods from the United States.

In turn, since September 1, 2025, the United States undertakes to apply a tariff of 15% of the majority of goods originating from the European Union, or the so -called tariff under the most assistance regime (NSP), which is applied to certain specific types of European goods.
