Artem Nekrasov, the First Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine, said this on the air of the telethon, talking about the attack on the night of November 8.

“The enemy inflicted a massive strike with ballistic missiles, which are extremely difficult to shoot down. And it is difficult to remember such a number of direct hits on energy facilities since the beginning of the invasion. Of the 45 missiles that were used, 32 were ballistic. The enemy has changed tactics and is trying to strike at the same time both at generation facilities and at networks of transmission and distribution systems of electricity. And this approach, unfortunately, complicates the prompt restoration of normal power supply and operation of the energy system,” he emphasized.

According to him, now the energy companies are gradually stabilizing the operation of the system, but it will take time. He refused to name the extent of the electricity deficit, but emphasized that a significant part of the generation was hit.

Nekrasov emphasized that the most difficult situation with energy supply is in the Kharkiv, Sumy and Poltava regions. “There are up to three shifts of hourly outages at the same time,” he said. According to him, in the rest of the regions, restrictions apply up to 2.5 queues.

According to him, the greatest load on the power system occurs from 8 am to 11 am and from 4 pm to 8 pm, and then the energy deficit is greatest.
