The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine temporarily put the duties of the Head of the State Tax Service on the First Deputy DPS Lesya Karnauh.
This is stated at the disposal of the Government of June 18, 2025 No. 593-p.
Karnauh will perform duties until the official appointment of a new head of service.
The appointment took place after the previous head of the DPS Ruslan Kravchenko occupied the position of Prosecutor General of Ukraine. He headed the tax since December 2024.
Lesya Karnauh became the first deputy head of the STS in May 2025. She was entrusted with the modernization of the service, including digitalization of processes, the development of analytics and improving communication with business.
Karnauh has been in the public service since 2004. From 2018 to 2023 she was the deputy head of the Accounting Chamber apparatus, and from July 2023-the deputy of the head of the Kiev Regional State Administration.
We will remind, on June 17 the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the appointment of Ruslan Kravchenko for the position of Prosecutor General. His candidacy was submitted by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the eve, June 16.
