The movement of trucks through the checkpoint “Yagodin-Dorogusk” on the border with Poland can be complicated through a protest action on the Polish side, warned on May 12, the State Border Service of Ukraine.

“According to information from the representatives of the border guard of the Republic of Poland, a protest action of Polish carriers in the direction of the checkpoint” Dorogosk “, which is opposite the Ukrainian checkpoint” Yagodin “may begin today. The Polish side reported that in connection with such actions, the passage of freight vehicles will be performed at a time of one hour per hour for entry and one – for departure, ” – the message reads.

The SPSU specified that buses and humanitarian trucks will be passed freely.

According to preliminary data, the actions of Polish carriers can last for four months.

“As of now, the movement of freight vehicles is carried out unchanged, but we ask the drivers to take into account this information when planning the crossing of the border through Yagodin-Dorogusk,” the border guards said and promised to inform the situation in this direction.

Last year, there was a strike of farmers in Poland, declared by the Solidarity Trade Union. They blocked all border crossing points with Ukraine, as well as roads and highways in separate voivodes. In addition to the ban on imports of agricultural products from Ukraine, the Polish protesters opposed the European agricultural policy, in particular, against the implementation of the Green Lada – a number of environmental and climatic requirements.
