The spokesman of the department, Andriy Demchenko, in a comment to Radio Liberty, confirmed that the exhibitor was dismissed from military service in accordance with the order of February 2.
This explanation appeared against the background of active discussions in the media about the reasons for the general’s resignation and his possible stay outside the country.
The DPSU emphasized the legality of the dismissal procedure, which is based on current legislation.
According to the representative of the DPSU, the dismissal procedure is regulated by the law “On military duty and military service”.
One of the key factors in this process was Serhiy Deinek’s state of health, which was assessed by independent medical commissions.
Although the legislation prohibits the disclosure of detailed medical information, Andriy Demchenko noted that the general had a serious history of injuries.
In particular, we are talking about a severe mine-explosive injury received during service.
The consequences of these injuries required repeated surgical interventions for a long time. Currently, the distant consequences of these injuries have significantly affected the possibility of the general continuing to perform his military duties.
It will be recalled that the ex-head of the DPSU Deinek was dismissed from military service.
Also, a bail of 10 million UAH was made for General Serhii Deinek.
