As a result of the attack of the army of the aggressor country of the Russian Federation on Mykolaiv on the night of October 15, trade pavilions in the local market were seriously damaged, RFE/RL reports with reference to the words of eyewitnesses.
“The door is openknocked out, windows, ceiling, roof all chopped off. (…) I definitely heard seven explosions. When I got up and looked out the window, it was already burning“, said one of the residents of Mykolaiv.
According to another, due to the attack of the Russian Federation on the city in the market a fire broke out.
“There was a terrible arrival at night. There is no store. At night, when the first flight arrived, they heard it when they were in the city. And then there were flights here. The girls called – our market is on fire,” said another resident of Mykolaiv.

Attack of the Russian army on Mykolaiv on October 15
The mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, reported at 02:32 on October 15 that the explosions had occurred even before the announcement of the air alert.
After the explosions in Mykolaiv at 2.35, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces wrote about the threat of a ballistic strike for Mykolaiv.
Later, the head of Mykolayiv OVA Vitaly Kim reported in Telegram that the enemy attacked the city at approximately 02:30 – according to the previous version of events, with missiles of the S-300 type.
According to him, as a result of the Russian strike, a woman died and 16 other people were injured.
Then the State Emergency Service clarified that in one of the residential areas of Mykolaiv, an infrastructure facility, private residential buildings and cars were damaged, and in another area of the city, fires started in a restaurant complex and shopping pavilions.
As Vitaly Kim later reported, the number of townspeople who received injuries and wounds as a result of the Russian strike increased to 23, and people continued to seek help from medical institutions.
Later, the Mykolaiv Telegram channels reported that a new explosion rang out in the city – during the air alert announced due to the takeoff of the Russian MiG-31K fighter jet.
