It is noted that the relevant agreement of the state operator has concluded with LLC “UT Company”. The pilot project will start in Kyiv and Kyiv region. It envisages constant monitoring of results for further improvement and scaling to other regions.
The defense department explained that the new contract has significant differences from the current supply model. From now on, manufacturers’ contracting functions are transferred directly to the DOT, and the logistics operator remains only:
- completeness, timeliness and quality of transportation to military units of food;
- warehouse operations on own capacities;
- coordination of processes of shipment of goods;
- Documentation and closure.
- As noted in the Defense Ministry, it will make the procurement processes more transparent and more managed.
The purpose of the project is to optimize the interaction between all participants of the supply chain, to increase the efficiency of logistics and to increase the quality control of products before delivery to military units.
This is an important step for modernizing the food system. The new format will make the processes transparent, effective and convenient for all parties. Separation of logistics and purchasing functions will ensure higher quality of products that will come to our military
