Ministry of Defense Ukraine has invited a telephone conversation with colleagues from the United States to further clarify the details, – said in the department.

The Defense Ministry reported that the results of negotiations with US partners will be additionally informed at the official level by the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Defense Ministry stressed that it is extremely important for Ukraine to maintain stability, continuity and predictability in providing agreed defense assistance, especially in the field of strengthening of air defense systems. The Ministry of Defense also expressed gratitude to the US for continuous support and praised the efforts of US partners aimed at establishing a real peace.

Also on Wednesday, July 2, on the instructions of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrei Sibiga, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine invited a temporary attorney John Ginkel. The main theme was US military assistance and defense cooperation against the backdrop of escalation of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.

Deputy Foreign Minister Mariana Betz thanked the United States for support from the beginning of a full -scale invasion and emphasized the importance of continuous supply of defense packages, especially in the part of air defense. The Ukrainian delegation noted that supports with support only stimulate the aggressor to continue the war.

Mariana Betz also reminded that Russia rejects the ceasefire, increases attacks on cities and kills civilians. She added that Ukraine supports peaceful efforts and position of the United States to end the war, emphasizing the importance of increasing defense and transatlantic pressure on Russia.
