Chief Sergeant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Kosynskyi told ArmyInform about this.
According to him, since 2014, more than 25,000 sergeants and foremen have received state awards, 105 of them – the title of Hero of Ukraine, unfortunately, 76 of them posthumously.
“But they are our Heroes forever. Those who inspire us to continue the struggle, those who define the meaning of this struggle, our brothers in arms who are waiting for us and look at us from the sky. We have no right to betray them, we are obliged to fight, we are obliged to win.” , — noted the chief sergeant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
For Sergeant’s Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ArmiyaInform spoke with Chief Sergeant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Kosynskyi, who explained why sergeants sometimes have to perform the duties of officers at the front and how the sergeant corps lives in the third year of a large-scale invasion.
