Details: The tragedy occurred on January 18, 2025. A 28-year-old doctor from the Volyn region came to rest with her friends. According to the investigation materials, during the ascent on the lift, the girl traveled about 350 meters, after which she did not hold on to the cable, fell and began to rapidly slide down the slope.

At high speed, the victim hit her head on a metal fence, which was not equipped with protective mats, and died at the scene.
In the course of the pre-trial investigation, law enforcement agencies conducted a set of necessary examinations, in particular an examination on labor protection.
Her conclusions confirmed that at the time of the tragedy, the management of the resort:
- did not ensure the proper technical condition of fences;
- allowed the extraction to be operated in dangerous conditions;
- did not organize the work of the emergency and rescue service on the territory of the resort.
It was after receiving the results of these examinations that there were legal grounds for reporting the suspicion to the resort’s management, the prosecutor’s office notes.
The suspects are charged with violation of safety rules during the performance of work with increased danger by a person who is obliged to observe them, which caused the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 272 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
At present, the question of choosing preventive measures for the suspect is being resolved. The prosecutor’s office will ask for their detention.
