Details: Denmark is concerned about the corruption scandal in Ukraine, although it is convinced that the Danish Fire Point plant has nothing to do with it.

“There is no (corrupt – “EP”) connection with the plant in Denmark, because (during its operation – “EP”) it is necessary to comply with Danish legislation. Therefore, regarding the creation of Fire Point in Denmark, I have no concerns. But, of course, I am concerned about the current discussion about the corruption scandal in Ukraine,” said Poulsen.

He added that Denmark “does everything possible to monitor the movement of the funds that we provide.”

“We also have external auditors to monitor the donations we have made,” the Danish minister emphasized.

According to him, at the meeting with the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, which was scheduled for December 1, he planned to “discuss, among other things, this issue.”

Also, the issues of corruption that were raised in Ukraine regarding Fire Roint were to be discussed with the Ukrainian minister: earlier, Denmark requested a report “on some points that were raised publicly.”

We will remind that the manufacturer of “Flamingo” missiles Fire Point, with the support of the Danish government, is launching a plant there on the production of fuel for long-range missiles.

It is worth noting that Denmark has already handed over 28 packages of military aid to Ukraine. The latest, totaling 1.4 billion Danish kroner ($217 million), was announced in November.

As “Europeyska Pravda” reported, activists in the Czech Republic who were going to buy Fire Point “Flamingo” missiles for Ukraine with donations from Czech citizens, put their plans on hold against the background of the corruption scandal in Ukraine.

According to mass media, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine is investigating the company’s activities: in particular, detectives checkwhether or not Fire Point overstated the cost of components or the number of drones in the contracts.

The attention of the investigators was drawn to the opaque structure of the company’s ownership and its possible connections with Timur Mindich – a close friend and business partner of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi. Mindich himself is involved in another major NABU investigation into possible embezzlement in the energy industry.
