The Czech Republic will allocate about 40 million euros to support Ukraine annually from 2026 to 2030 – the Foreign Ministry

The Czech Government has continued the program of humanitarian, stabilization and economic assistance to Ukraine for the period from 2026 to 2030, stated The Czech Ministry of Foreign Ministry press service on September 3.

It is reported that the proposed amount of annual financing is 1 billion CZK (more than 40 million euros). The funds will distribute the Foreign Ministry to other government agencies.

“Ukraine support is key to the Czech Republic. This helps Ukraine itself, but also strengthens our own security. It is important for the Czech Republic to help Ukraine not only with military but also humanitarian aid and reconstruction. It’s in our interests. We want Czech companies to be involved in reconstruction and have a long -term presence there, ”the Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky said in a comment on the initiative.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls the support of Ukraine the “fundamental priority” of the Czech government. As a result, this program of assistance during 2023-2025 was provided by the Czech state, private, non-profit and academic sectors “Good opportunities” for long-term participation in the reconstruction of Ukraine. The continuation of the program in Prague is considered important for further bilateral cooperation.

Among the assistance areas, the press service calls, in particular, the support of Ukrainian refugees in Moldova, providing emergency medical care, emergency housing, providing access to education, energy and heating sources.

Separately, the Foreign Ministry mentioned assistance in the agricultural land, cybersecurity, construction of underground medical and educational institutions, as well as democratic reforms in Ukraine.

In August Czech President Peter Pavel stated that If peacekeeping units are located on the territory of Ukraine, the Czech Republic could be part of them because it is an active player in the peace process and supports Ukraine from the very beginning of the Russian invasion.
