The court released the mayor of Irpen under house arrest

The Court of Appeal of Kyiv released Irpen Mayor Alexander Markushin under a 24 -hour house arrest, Public reports. Prior to that, the court chose a preventive measure for Markushin in the form of detention by March 22, with the possibility of collateral UAH 30 million. The Court of Appeal of Kyiv released Irpen Mayor Alexander Markushin under a 24 -hour house arrest, Public reports.

Prior to that, the court chose a preventive measure for Markushin in the form of detention by March 22, with the possibility of collateral UAH 30 million. However, the Court of Appeal partially granted the appeal of the defense.

Markushin is suspected of illegally crossing the state border in August 2022. He considers the case politically ordered and accuses the former Mayor of Irpen Vladimir Karplyuk.
