Since 2022, the Ukrainian courts have awarded Russia to reimburse UAH 913 billion to the war and business of Ukraine.
This is stated in the study of the Openatable platform.
The most reimbursement, awarded to an individual, amounted to UAH 328 million – this amount will be received by a resident of Kharkiv. Two more citizens from Zaporozhye have won claims for over UAH 170 million each.
Among the companies, the largest compensation was awarded the Magnate Agro Firm – UAH 180 billion in the first case and another 67 billion in the second. The Alchevsky Coke Plant received a decision in favor of an enterprise with compensation of UAH 12 billion.
At the same time, there were absurd cases – in particular, a resident of Khmelnytskyi filed a fantastic amount of 999 quadrillions.
In total, at least 1,482 decisions in cases of losses from the Russian Federation were recorded in the court register. Last year, citizens won 239 cases, and in 39 cases were refused. The business was even more successful: out of 227 cases, 224 ended in his favor, only three – refusal.
Since the beginning of 2025, the courts have already adopted 53 positive decisions on citizens’ claims and 68 on business claims. Only six individuals were refused.
Earlier, we wrote that Ukraine will receive an additional $ 84 million from the World Bank for paying compensation to citizens whose housing was affected by the war.
It should also be reminded that the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) supported a resolution on April 9, which provides for Russia’s prosecution for its aggression against Ukraine.
